Our Mums & Bubs classes are specifically designed for the needs of Mum and baby, and suitable for all Mums during pregnancy and postnatal, and before bubs is on the move (for safety).
In this pre and postnatal period, you can experience the following benefits of our Mums & Bubs classes:
- A pre-class assessment with Fiona and one-on-one sessions to discuss your health concerns, goals and build your individualized program
- A key focus on abdominal and pelvic floor muscles
- Individually tailored and safe exercises
- A full explanation of movements to grow your understanding
- A fun, social and informative class where all fitness levels are welcome
- Mat, reformer and trapeze exercises taught by physiotherapists, Fiona Burford
About physiotherapist, Fiona.
Fiona moved from country Balaklava to the city in order to pursue her passion for helping others by enrolling in UniSA’s Bachelor of Physiotherapy. Once graduated in 2013 she started at Back In Motion Brighton, and has worked hard and attended several courses to advance her skills in all areas.
In recent years Fiona has been strengthening skills in Women’s Health and is particularly passionate about this area of physiotherapy. In 2020 she has started her Master of Physiotherapy in Pelvic Floor Health. She also has an interest in chronic pain, has completed her full APPI Pilates course, and is DMA level 1 certified in Clinical Pilates.
Package discounts and private health insurance.
Our Mums & Bubs class takes no more than four participants (plus babies) and runs for 40 minutes. If you have private health insurance, you can claim our classes through your physio extras by either paying as you go or, if you purchase a package you receive up to 10% discount PLUS the convenience of not having to stay and pay as the package is paid for in advance. Our packages are still claimable through your health fund and can be manually claimed once you've completed your package.
