Our Practice

Who we are

We provide high-quality physiotherapy, massage, and exercise rehabilitation services to Hobart and surrounding suburbs, including Derwent Valley, Lenah Valley, and Kingborough Sports Complex.

Why we're different

A "quick-fix" for your pain or injury might sound good, but over time is proven to be inconvenient, costly and ineffective in comparison to taking preventative measures. Our unique clinical approach, Results4Life, keeps you on track towards optimal lifelong physical health.

Our guarantee

We are committed to your satisfaction and delivering the very best in physiotherapy care, customer service and outcomes. If you are not 100% satisfied with your experience at Back In Motion, we will refund your money on your last session and deliver your next session free.

Ruth Musgrove

Physiotherapist

Ruth grew up in Hobart but has also lived abroad in Germany and Israel, where she worked in research on Parkinson’s disease. Prior to becoming a physiotherapist, Ruth built a strong background in neurodegenerative disease research, completing a Bachelor of Biotechnology and a PhD.

Her research experience shaped her passion for supporting people with neurodegenerative conditions, helping them maintain independence and participate in activities that are meaningful to them. Ruth also loves meeting and working with people from all walks of life and is committed to helping every client achieve their personal goals.

Outside the clinic, Ruth enjoys training in martial arts and competes regularly as a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Her first-hand experience on the mats makes her especially keen to support martial artists and combat sports athletes to optimise performance, prevent injury, and guide recovery.
