As you may have already heard on April 1st 2019 there will be changes regarding private health insurance rebates. The Department of Health has removed a number of natural therapies, including Clinical Exercise, from the list of refundable services.
How will this affect classes at Back in Motion Bacchus Marsh? Besides the change in name, the classes will still remain the same. For greater clarity and to further separate the exercise class services offered at Back in Motion Bacchus Marsh we will be changing our class names from Clinical Exercise to Clinical Exercise. Physiotherapy practice is recognised by all parties as high-value, evidence-based care and should be underpinned by individualised assessment, treatment and follow-up. The Department of Health has accepted that an insurer may lawfully pay benefits if a physiotherapist provides services to a patient within the accepted scope of clinical practice, and uses exercises or techniques drawn from Clinical Exercise as part of that patients treatment.
At Back in Motion Bacchus Marsh, our exercise classes offer an individualised exercise program utilizing the benefits of Clinical Exercise equipment, Gym equipment and Physiotherapy techniques. If your program is over 6 months old we recommend that you attend an assessment session to ensure that your goals are current and that we continue to meet the criteria to claim for group physiotherapy.
Rebates will continue to be claimed under the 560 item codes. If you have any further questions regarding the upcoming changes please do not hesitate to contact us melton@backinmotion.com.au or 9743 4479
