The Olympics are in full swing, with week one nearly over. The Australian Women have been holding up the team collecting several gold medals across a number of events, including swimming, cycling and canoe/kayak - as well as a number of other medals. Two of those gold medalists, Ariarne Titmusand Jess Fox are probably the most well known members of the team. Click here to learn about their training schedules. Keep in mind - these women are professional athletes, but also they are used to training. For the weekend warrior, or those inspired by our Olympians, we want to start slow and gradually build up by about 10% per week to avoid overload of tissues that lead to injury.
