At our clinic, we're proud to partner with leading Victorian universities to provide valuable clinical placement opportunities for physiotherapy students. These placements are an important part of physiotherapy education, allowing students to gain practical experience in a real-world private practice environment.
Why Do Physiotherapy Students Attend Private Practice?
As part of their university degree, physiotherapy students must complete supervised clinical placements across a range of healthcare settings. While many placements take place in hospitals or community health services, private physiotherapy clinics also play an important role in developing students' clinical knowledge and communication skills.
Depending on their university program, a private practice placement may be a compulsory component of the course or an elective experience chosen by the student.
What to Expect During Your Appointment
When a physiotherapy student is attending the clinic, their role is primarily observational. They may watch your assessment and treatment, ask questions under the supervision of your physiotherapist, or assist with guided exercise programs where appropriate.
Every placement is closely supervised by an experienced physiotherapist to ensure you continue to receive the highest standard of care throughout your appointment.
Your Comfort and Privacy Come First
Your consent is always requested before a student joins your consultation. If you would prefer not to have a student present, simply let us know. Your decision will always be respected, and it will not affect your treatment or the care you receive.
We understand that every patient has different preferences, and we're committed to creating a comfortable and supportive environment for everyone.
