We sat down with Pete Graver and asked him to answer some quirky and insightful questions:
What made you become a physiotherapist?
I was always very sporty with a background in track running, soccer and waterskiing, with my main passion now being powerlifting – An interest in these led to a passion in human movement which kicked off my physio journey, but the feeling of improving someone’s quality of life or getting them back into the activity is what I enjoy most.
Who or what inspires you?
Ronnie Coleman – if you don’t know him then Google “Ronnie Coleman Yeah buddy lightweight baby” and you’ll know what I mean. Ain’t nothin’ but a peanut.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Mexico – I’ve always been in love with Mexican food and have a soft spot for a Corona, and the culture and scenery looks amazing. Heading there in February with Emma for our honeymoon!
What is your favourite sport?
For longevity: Lifting weights. To play: Soccer. To watch: AFL. To follow: Bodybuilding.
What movie or TV show do you recommend watching?
The Greatest Showman. Do love a singalong.
What is your favourite healthy meal to prepare?
This week it is Pumpkin and Zucchini Pasta sauce with Ricotta and Spinach Ravioli.
What is your favourite form of exercise?
Gym! Lightweight Baby!!
If you were a superhero, what power would you have?
Not needing to sleep. There’s never enough hours in the day!!
How do you unwind and relax?
Sitting outside with Emma on a warm afternoon listening to chilled tunes with a beer. Doesn’t get any better!
