NDIS Physiotherapy Services
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides support for Australians with a permanent and significant disability and their families and carers. It is designed to support people with disabilities to develop skills and capacity so they can participate in work and community life.
Allied Health services such as physiotherapy are funded through your NDIS plan budget. Physiotherapy can provide huge benefits to NDIS members and can be tailored to the individuals concerns, needs and goals.
Manual Therapy
Using a range of techniques to help decrease your pain and increase your function, we will assess and design a treatment plan just for you and your goals.
Some of the techniques we may use:
- Soft tissue massage
- Mobilisation
- Dry needling
- Biomechanic analysis
- Stretching
- Trigger point therapy
- Myofascial releases
It's important to note that part of your treatment plan is to educate and empower you to take charge of your health and focus on rehabilitation.
Exercise and rehabilitation
The Australian Department of Health has stated that Australians should be doing 2.5 to 5 hours of moderate physical activity each week, with the addition of 2 days of strength training. Exercise is one of the most evidence based forms of therapy for reducing pain, improving function and achieving health and fitness goals. Our physiotherapists are trained in Clinical Pilates allowing them to use the latest evidence based exercises to tailor a program for you and your goals.
As part of your NDIS plan, you can attend one-on-one sessions with your physiotherapist where we will guide you through your tailored program, maximizing your progress towards your goals. You can then choose to either continue with one-on-one sessions or progress into our semi-private group classes. Our semi-private classes are designed for up to 4 participants in each class. This allows you to work through your program independently, with the safety of a qualified physiotherapist adjusting your exercises and movements as you go.

Initial Consultation
Your initial consultation with your physiotherapist includes a free assessment which allows us to take time to listen to your concerns, conduct a full assessment and start creating your tailored treatment plan. We work with you to update your plan throughout our journey together so you can progress and create new goals. After your treatment plan has been discussed and you consent to start your treatment plan, we can start treatment straight after your free assessment at the cost of a standard consultation.

We can currently help those who are self managed and plan managed through NDIS. Depending on how your funds are managed will dictate how the billing process will work; just know we will do everything we can to make it a smooth process so you can focus on achieving your goals with your physiotherapist.
If you are plan managed we require the details of the plan manager as well as your NDIS number at the time of your initial booking. We will communicate directly with your plan manager/support coordinator to organise invoicing and billing to take the stress off you.
If you are self managed the process is slightly different. You will be able to pay for your consultations using your funding and we can provide the required paperwork and receipts. If at any point you require account statements or overviews of your consultation, we are more than happy to get these for you.
We are currently unable to provide physiotherapy to those that have NDIS managing their plan. If you would like to learn more about the NDIS services we do offer, please call us on (08) 8296 1755.
