Clinical Exercise at Back In Motion Eltham

Clinical Pilates (Clinical Exercise) forms a structured, personalised and supervised program that will target areas of your body to help achieve your goals and improve your overall function. Our clinicians will design a program for you that can help you improve your strength, control and flexibility in all areas of your body.

You will begin at the Foundation stage; whether you are new to Pilates or have begun rehabilitation for a new injury. Our Foundation program is set up to provide you with the underlying base to build upon and set you up for success with your program.

Clinical Exercise with our allied health clinician

Clinical Exercise is a highly-individualised form of traditional Pilates lead by our qualified physiotherapists and osteopaths who have completed formal Pilates training. This means you will complete a safe and effective program under their guidance.

With a focus on rehabilitation and prevention, your physio/osteo will prescribe specific Pilates exercises based on your detailed physiotherapy/osteopath assessment. These tailored exercises target problem areas ensuring greater results and minimizing the risk of injury re-aggravation.

Back In Motion Clinical Exercise

Your Clinical Exercise program at Back In Motion will feature the following:

  • Clinical methodology – an evidence based technique taught by qualified professionals and physios who know the intricate details of your body;
  • Individually-tailored exercises – focus on working the areas specific to your needs;
  • Attentive, instructional, and focused – correct technique and personal application;
  • Specialised Pilates equipment – such as reformers and trapeze table, not just floor mats; and
  • Range of service options – individuals (one-on-one) , semi-private (up to five) and classes (maximum of eight).

Our Foundation Program

Clinical Exercise forms a structured, personalised and supervised program to build control, mobility, strength and functional power on the inner core muscles and strength to aid posture, pain and spine control. We make returning to exercise easy with multiple Clinical Exercise classes daily, and multiple class package options to suit your desired availability, budget, and level of physical activity.
