World Vegetarian Day

Published: September 30, 2020

World Vegetarian Day is an awesome initiative that aims to get people to give vegetarianism a go, even just for a day! A healthy, well-balanced vegetarian diet is high in fibre, low in saturated fat, and provides abundant fruits and vegetables; what’s not to love? Minimising red meat consumption is consistently linked to improved health outcomes, including a reduced risk of various cancers and cardiovascular complications1. So, even making a small change towards reducing overall meat intake can have a big impact! To find out more about implementing a vegetarian diet or about reducing your meat intake, speak to Carly our dietitian.
