Say YES to You — Celebrating Women’s Health Week
Why Women’s Health Week Matters
Every September, Jean Hailes for Women’s Health leads Women’s Health Week - Australia’s biggest event dedicated to empowering women, girls, and gender-diverse people to put their health first.
This year’s theme is “Say yes to you” - a reminder that it’s not selfish to put yourself first, it’s essential. Health checks, open conversations, self-care, and seeking the right support all make a difference in how we feel today and how we thrive long-term.
At Back in Motion Rosny Park, we see first-hand how often women juggle family, work, and community while leaving their own health at the bottom of the list. This week is about turning that around.
The Week at a Glance
Each day of Women’s Health Week focuses on a different aspect of health:
Every check matters - staying up to date with routine health checks can catch problems early and keep you well.
Take the lead - feeling confident to ask questions and take charge in health appointments.
Heart smart - raising awareness of women’s heart health, often overlooked.
Pain to power - breaking the myth that pain is just “part of being a woman.”
Be kind to your mind - recognising the vital link between mental health and overall wellbeing.
How We Support Your Whole-Body Health
At Back in Motion Rosny Park, we care about the whole picture of women’s health - not just one system or symptom. Our physiotherapists, including those trained in pelvic health, support women across many stages of life, from adolescence through to post-menopause.
Here’s how we can help:
Physical health: Pain, stiffness, or injury shouldn’t hold you back. We help women keep moving safely and confidently with tailored exercise and hands-on care.
Pelvic health: From bladder and bowel control, to pregnancy and postnatal recovery, to managing prolapse or pelvic pain - your pelvic health matters to your quality of life, and we’re here to support it.
Heart and bone health: Exercise plays a powerful role in preventing heart disease and osteoporosis. We design safe, effective programs to build strength and protect long-term health.
Mental wellbeing: Movement and recovery are not only about muscles - they’re also about how you feel. We provide compassionate care, reassurance, and practical strategies that support both body and mind.
Saying “Yes” to You
Women’s Health Week is the perfect time to pause and reflect: When was the last time you booked a check-up for yourself? Took time to move your body in a way that feels good? Asked for help with that nagging symptom?
At Back in Motion Rosny Park, we’re here to walk alongside you - whether you want support for your pelvic floor, help staying active with arthritis, guidance through postnatal recovery, or simply a space to put your health first.
This week and every week, we encourage you to:
- Book your routine checks
- Prioritise movement and rest
- Speak up about symptoms - big or small
- Reach out for help when you need it
- Because when you say yes to your health, you’re saying yes to energy, confidence, and living the life you love.
✨ Book an appointment with our team today and take the first step towards saying YES to you.
