What do I bring to my appointment?
If you are hoping to use your Medicare-Chronic Condition Management Plan or Referral, please bring that document in for us to scan into your file. If not brought in, we cannot honour the Medicare bulk-billed hours or surcharge fees.
Otherwise, please feel free to bring your Private Health Insurance card, Medicare card, pensioner card, scans, and other medical documents you’d wish for us to scan into your file.
Is there anything I need to sign before my first appointment?
We have a new patient form that needs to be signed and filled out before your first appointment with us. We request you arrive at the clinic 5 minutes before your appointment to fill this out. This form also details our cancellation policy and requires a signature and date.
These forms are available in English or Vietnamese.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
Yes. We require 12 HOURS NOTICE FOR CANCELLATIONS. Otherwise, half the consultation fee will be charged.
If you cannot make it to your appointment, please contact us at 03 9687 2700 or respond to the appointment reminder text with an “N”. Our friendly admin team will call to confirm the cancellation and will be happy to reschedule you for another suitable time.
Where are you located in the shopping centre?
Back in Motion Braybrook is located next to a Subway in the Central West Shopping Centre car park. Our address is Shop P3, 67 Ashley Street Braybrook, VIC 3019.
How long are appointments?
All Initial Assessments are up to 40 minutes long to ensure your issue is properly explored through assessment and hands-on treatment.
Our subsequent Standard Consultations are up to 20 minutes long. Additionally, we offer Extended Consultations that run for up to 40 minutes depending on your needs.
Finally, through our Results4Life® program, every third appointment with us may see the use of our AxIT System to track your progress and show real-time improvements throughout your treatment plan. These appointments run for up to 40 minutes but are charged at our Standard Consultation rate.
What usually happens in an initial appointment?
Initial Assessments will involve our clinician assessing your condition through history taking, physical examination and understanding your needs, as well as providing treatment. This may include hands-on therapy such as massage and soft tissue release, joint mobilisations, prescription of exercises/stretches and education on the potential cause of the issue and how to treat it.
Our experienced clinicians will collaborate with you to create an ongoing treatment plan to address your issues through achievable steps.
Do you accept Medicare Referrals?
Yes. We accept Medicare Referrals for physiotherapy and osteopathy services. Additionally, we also offer appointments at Hampstead Medical. However as these are with our senior physiotherapist, these appointments are not bulk-billed.
Please bring your Medicare-Chronic Condition Management Plan or Referral to your first appointment to ensure we can honour the Medicare rates.
When are your Medicare bulk-billed hours?
We offer bulk-billed hours at our Braybrook Clinic. These hours are: 11AM - 3PM Monday - Friday and apply to Medicare-Chronic Condition Management Plan or Referrals.
If it is your first appointment or you have received a new referral, please bring in, email or fax the document to ensure the Medicare plan can be used.
What are the Medicare costs? How much out of pocket will I be?
If you come outside of our designated bulk-billed hours or see one of our senior clinicians, you will have to pay a surcharge. Once the full amount is paid for, we can perform the rebate on the spot if you use a debit card.
Otherwise, we will lodge the Medicare rebate for you online. The rebated amount can take 2-3 business days to reach your nominated bank account.
At Hampstead Medical, you will also have to pay a surcharge. Concession may be applicable.
Do I need a GP referral to see one of your clinicians?
No. You do not need a GP referral before you can see one of our clinicians. Please feel free to book online, come into our clinic, or give our admin team a call to get started.
Do you take Workcover or TAC cases?
Yes. Our clinicians can see patients coming in under Workcover or TAC. We can also see patients while they are meeting the required excess for Workcover and during or after a TAC patient’s first 90 days.
What are the fees for first and ongoing appointments?
We have Associate Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, and Senior Physiotherapists. Because of this, we work on a tiered pricing system, and the cost of appointments varies. Please ask the friendly admin team when booking if you would like a breakdown of prices.
How much do I receive back from my Private Health Insurance Fund?
Each Private Health Insurance Fund differs depending on your level of coverage.
We can perform a Health Insurance quote if you bring your physical card to our clinic.
I want to get started with the ONERO program, what do I do?
Please call and book an Initial Assessment with one of our ONERO accredited clinicians. If the program is deemed to be the correct path for you, you will enrol in our ONERO Foundation Program before starting your classes.
For details on pricing, please give our friendly admin team a call. Also, if you have a current EPC or Chronic Management Plan from your doctor or GP, this session and the classes can be fully bulk-billed.

I want to join the clinical classes, what do I need to do?
To join our classes, you will first need to attend a 1-on-1 Clinical Exercise appointment with one of our clinicians. This appointment lets you and your clinician set goals and construct an exercise program. Most plans can be made in 1-2 Clinical Exercise appointments depending on your goal and previous clinical exercise experience. To find out prices, please contact our admin team.
What is the difference between physio and osteo?
Physiotherapists and osteopaths are both highly trained professionals who help with injury recovery, pain management, and rehabilitation. All of our clinicians can see and have a wide range of experience addressing chronic and acute issues for all age groups and levels of ability.
Osteopaths tend to craft treatment plans and set goals based on a holistic perspective that incorporates your body, the way it moves, the pain or discomfort you feel, any injuries or soreness you may have, and your health and lifestyle. Osteopaths will treat you with a range of techniques including manual therapy, massage, stretching, mobilisation, manipulation, and dry needling.
Meanwhile, physiotherapists tend to prescribe exercise and stretches to act as pain relief/management, a way to strengthen parts of the body through controlled motions, and increase load over time. Physiotherapists like to zero in on the point of pain and may perform massages to provide relief and loosen soft tissue.
Most one-on-one services provided by both physiotherapists and osteopaths can be claimed through private health insurance (depending on your level of cover). However, group classes provided by osteopaths are not claimable under Private Health Insurance. Physiotherapy-led classes are claimable under Private Health Insurance.
Overall, our clinicians work together to provide you with the treatment and goals necessary to help you along your journey!
Who should I book with?
