CAREER PATHWAYS

Administrative and clinical career pathways

Upon graduation, after many years of study, we understand that you want to get the most out of your clinical training. We also appreciate that the physiotherapy industry generally lacks the ability to provide talented and motivated individuals structured pathways for career progression. Recognising this, at Back In Motion Health Group we've designed a structured career pathway allowing you to get the most out of your physiotherapy education and experience to date.

No matter where you are in your career, whether you're just starting out, fresh from university or have had experience in another area of physiotherapy or private practice, take a look at our career pathways model. Excitingly we invite talented and committed clinical and non-clinical staff the opportunity to explore practice ownership under our model. The Head Start Pathway is one of many ways we make this opportunity accessible to our staff.

What are the three best things about being part of the Back In Motion Health Group?
  • 1. The model. It works.
  • 2. Having the experienced staff at the National Support Office assist in the areas of marketing, website and social media, and business development help grow our businesses. They have a bird's eye view of multiple businesses and can provide guidance that you just can't get on your own.
  • 3. The support of other directors - both from a clinical resources perspective, but also a business and social. It leads to camaraderie and constructive competition that's both enjoyable and builds accountability.
How has Back In Motion assisted your personal and professional development?

I have learnt a great deal from being in the franchise not just through the formal programs, but informally through knowing so many intelligent and helpful people. This includes the National Support Office staff as well as other directors nationally.

What does Back In Motion offer that other employers don't?

All of the above!

Plus, SOS Health Foundation which was founded by Back In Motion founder, Jason Smith, has given me a platform to give back to the community by providing voluntary physiotherapy services to those in need. I've grown to see that being significant is more rewarding than being successful. This has lead me to see my work and career in a different light.

What are the most rewarding aspects of your job?

Helping clients strive for optimal physical health. Not just from the point of view of aiding them with pain relief but also helping them improve their lives and relationships by being healthier and fitter. We help people enjoy life, and that is a very rewarding thing for me too.
