The Back In Motion Como experience – Clinical Exercise/Pilates
At Back In Motion Como our Clinical Exercise classes have a huge emphasis on control of movement and quality of movement in Pilates. We often see people with biomechanical issues who would benefit from improving their control of movement. We highly encourage people to start Pilates for this once their pain is starting to settle down. Moving with better control and improving any dysfunctional movement patterns can prevent the issue from recurring. Awareness of these problems and feedback of their movement performance from supervision during Pilates sessions is a big step before loading up the person with resistance or strength training.
We use Pilates principles to teach clients exercise on a daily basis. Pilates mat exercises can easily be given out as part of home exercise programs. Our extensive training in Pilates has ensured that Pilates exercise are fully integrated into our exercise repertoire.
