Clinical Exercise for your posture
Clinical Exercise is a term used to describe an individualised exercise programme that targets your body’s specific needs which may include areas of pain or stiffness. These are determined by assessing your posture and then more specificallyn assessing the troubled areas of your body. The developed programme will target imbalances and asymmetries, as well as lack of flexibility, motor control and/or strength. As your body adapts to the exercise programme, progression is important to ensure ongoing improvement. This could be developed as a home programme, gym programme or Physiotherapy-led exercise programme. At Back In Motion, Melbourne On Collins, we use a range of Pilates and Strength and Conditioning equipment that will help restore normal movement and get you back to doing the things you love.
Whilst there is some debate whether there is such thing as having ‘good posture’, we can confirm that changing positions and exercise are important contributors to staying healthy and reducing injury risk. Injuries, stress, pain or sustained positions can influence or change your posture. This is where exercise programmes to specifically target the primary (cause) and any secondary issues are beneficial.
