Women's Health Pre & Post Natal Packages

Pregnancy is an exciting time, but it can also be quite daunting with all the information out there that can be both helpful and a hinderance. Working out what you should be doing or what is safe to do whilst pregnant and in the early post-partum period, is tricky and there are so many differing points of views, well meaning relatives giving advice and the wonderful world of the internet to wrestle with. Our resident expert on all things Women's Health, Brooke, is passionate about ensuring you get the right advice and all the support that you need during this time.

We have put together three different Women's Health packages that have our recommended service offerings that can make your journey all the more easy. Whichever one you choose, you are sure to be well looked after.

Bronze

4 session package to assist in your pre and post-natal journey.

#1. Initial assessment (40mins)

Your first appointment with our Women’s Health expert, Brooke, will involve a detailed assessment and thorough examination with regards to your pregnancy and previous pregnancies. From this appointment, Brooke will be able to provide you with appropriate information around pregnancy safe exercise, pelvic floor exercises and ways in which to prevent general pregnancy aches and pains.

#2. Results for Life (40mins)

In this session, Brooke will discuss your pre-natal goals and your post-natal goals for exercise and recovery. She will devise an exercise program based on this, follow up on your pelvic floor program, and discuss the exercise options we have here in clinic and ensure we have strategies in place to reduce your pregnancy aches and pains. Our goal is to facilitate a good recovery.

#3. Post-Partum – weeks 1-3 (40mins)

The sooner you come in, the earlier we can start to assist your recovery! Brooke is an expert in immediate post-partum care and will discuss your delivery method and how that may impact your return to exercise and how we can alter our recovery strategy if needed. Safe exercise recommendations can be provided, education on reducing your risk of mastitis, reducing your risk of hand/wrist injuries and also assess for your abdominal separation and discuss your options for compression garments like SRC/Solidea products.

#4. Post-Partum – weeks 6-8 (60mins)

Now that you are a little more settled into a routine, reviewing our initial post-partum goals and our immediate post-partum management is paramount. In this session depending on what is discussed and organised with Brooke, a vaginal examination may be recommended to assess your pelvic floor strength and function, and to assess all other aspects of your perineal region. Based on these findings, a tailored, specific pelvic floor program can be devised, post-natal safe exercises can be modified if needed and education on long term pelvic floor health can be discussed.

We can recommend progressions, discuss safe exercise options at home, consider in-practice sessions and create a plan that fits into your busy new-mum schedule. We know that finding a routine is difficult, so of paramount importance to us is ensuring we are working with you to make things easier. We will always work and adapt to what’s best for you and your baby.
