A “quick-fix” for your pain or injury might sound good, but over time is proven to be inconvenient, costly and ineffective in comparison to taking preventative measures. At Back in Motion Rosny Park, our clinical approach incorporating both manual therapy techniques and functional rehabilitation ensures your rehabilitation is successful and keeps you on track towards optimal lifelong physical health.
-
At Back in Motion Rosny Park we ensure long term results by combining 'traditional hands on' physiotherapy with functional rehabilitation. Functional rehabilitation combines various elements of exercise to improve your strength and endurance allowing you to achieve an optimal level of performance. Functional rehabilitation takes into account your daily physical and functional requirements and your overall short and long term goals.
-
‘Traditional Physio’ you may know as the hands on therapy we perform in clinic; techniques such as massage and joint mobilisation. Our physiotherapists utilise a range of techniques inclusive of the previously mentioned to assist in pain management, restoring range of motion, decreasing muscle tension and tone. Although very successful at treating injuries and managing your pain, it is our functional rehabilitation approach that focuses on helping you prevent future injuries or those niggling injuries reoccurring continuously.
-
We will aim to make your strengthening exercises as functional and relatable to your daily tasks as possible; for example, strengthening the core muscles to assist in preventing back injuries when lifting heavy items, instead of doing the ‘traditional’ sit ups and floor exercises we will strengthen your core in standing and at the same times have you using your arms.
We love helping our clients get back to what they need to do and achieve their goals!
Functional rehab can be incorportated into your treatment as part of your home exercise program and/or in our semi-private exercise rehab sessions in our rehabilitation gym.
