Dietitian joins Back In Motion Hawthorn
Back In Motion Hawthorn has added an accredited practising dietician to its suite of services to support clients to achieve their health and wellbeing goals.
Feng-Yuan Liu has a degree in nutrition and dietetics from Monash University as well as postgraduate qualifications in sports nutrition through Sports Dietitians Australia, completed at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS).
A highly-skilled dietitian, Yuan specialises in weight management and type 2 diabetes and has had many years of experience in private practices as well as in hospitals, aged care services and sports nutrition.
Back In Motion Hawthorn practice director and physiotherapist Nathan Rickard said obesity was becoming one of the biggest health issues worldwide and the plethora of information available on what you should eat made it challenging for people to know whether they were on the right track.
“Yuan is passionate about health and nutrition and always strives to help her clients achieve their goals,” he said.
“She strongly believes that one size doesn’t fit all when it comes to our diets and therefore works one on one with clients to tailor plans and goals to suit their individual needs.
“With her sound knowledge and high skill level in both clinical and sports dietetics, Yuan is capable of helping clients with complex health conditions as well as healthy individuals wanting to improve their nutrition and fitness.”
Yuan provides a range of services at Back In Motion Hawthorn including weight management, sports nutrition, food intolerances and type 2 diabetes.
As a qualified Level 1 ISAK Anthropometrist, Yuan has received world-class training in skinfold testing and thus the monitoring of body composition. She has had great experience in assisting athletes with event preparation, re-fuelling, hydration and recovery, as well as assisting bodybuilders and gym enthusiasts with achieving their desired physiques.
