Vanila Somalinga and Gopi Babu are the new owners of Back In Motion's 26th Victorian practice - Back In Motion Werribee.
Vanila had been employed as a physiotherapist within the Group for nine months before her husband Gopi, who was not part of the Group, took an interest in exploring the opportunity to buy a Back In Motion franchise. The site in Werribee became available at the perfect time for Vanila and Gopi to purchase.
The existing practice had a solid business foundation which Vanila has plans to dramatically grow. It is located in a prime position – on a main road, directly across from the Werribee Aquatic Centre and a stone's throw away from the central Werribee shopping centre both of which are undergoing major renovations. A Back In Motion fit out transformation will be completed at the site in the coming months.
Vanila is excited to become a part of Back In Motion's Directorship and of the opportunity to further grow the Group's footprint in the west in the coming years.
Vanila obtained her physiotherapy qualification in India in 2003 and completed her registration and commenced practice in Melbourne in 2008. In her career to date as a physiotherapist she has gained variety of experience working in major public hospitals and private rehabilitation areas including inpatients and outpatients. Vanila has always believed that a client centred approach is the best way to achieve realistic and significant outcome towards recovery and self-management. Her areas of special interest include vestibular rehab, sports injuries, musculoskeletal and Clinical Exercise.
We congratulate Vanila and Gopi on their exciting new venture!
