SOS Health Foundation
Back In Motion Health Group Founder and Group Director, Jason Smith had a vision is to improve the health of disadvantaged Australians, so he founded the SOS Health Foundation. The SOS Health Foundation aid the community by mobilising physiotherapists and allied health practitioners allowing them to physiotherapy and health support to those who traditionally would not have access to such services.
Many Back In Motion Health Group staff, both physiotherapists and support staff, volunteer their time each year to outreach missions in Palm Island and Arnhem Land. Early in October 2013, the SOS Health Foundation along with the Salvation Army’s Urban Health Program, launched Australia’s first Pro Bono Physiotherapy Clinic in the Melbourne CBD. This clinic is supported by Back In Motion physiotherapists. See what the SOS Health volunteers get up to on their Facebook Page.
Back In Motion would like to thank those who give their time to others in need and use National Volunteer Week as a time to celebrate those in our Group and in the wider community that are making a difference to other’s lives.
