Why clinical exercise?
Clinical exercise helps many different conditions, post-surgery rehabilitation, sports-related injury, chronic conditions (Lower back pain, Osteoarthritis). The evidence shows that clinical exercise can significantly improve pain and prevent re-injury in the future (Wagemans et al., 2022).
At Back In Motion Clayton our motivated and experienced clinicians will create an individualized program that will guide you through your rehabilitation. In addition, clinical exercise is also recommended even for those without any conditions or injuries, aiding with weight loss, general strengthening or fitness (Bielecki, 2023).
Why Clinical exercise vs non-clinical exercise?

If self-guided:
Group classes

What we have?
- We have reformers for Pilates-based exercises. Pilates is a powerful way to train both strength and endurance. The difficulty of these exercises can range from approachable to high level for athletes.
- In addition for more conventional strength training, we have a Power rack (with an Olympic bars and plates), cable machines and dumbbells
- We also have cardio machines exercise bike and treadmill along with equipment to train your balance.
So who can sign up?
- Everyone can benefit from clinical exercise classes. Especially for those looking to fast-track their rehabilitation under the supervision of our experienced clinicians. Our clinicians can build and lead you through the correct exercises to return you to your sport/activity quickly and safely.
- You will have an initial consult with one of our experienced physiotherapists to understand your past medical history and goals. From there, you will have a 1 on 1 session to ensure you are comfortable with the equipment and to ensure you know the correct form. Then you are ready for your classes!
