Discogenic Lower Back Pain

Our spines are made up of vertebrae which are connected by discs. The discs act as shock absorbers in our spine, and both allow and limit movement.

The disc is made up of a tough outer layer called the annulus fibrosis, and an inner, gelatinous material called the nucleus polposis.
