Can’t get to a Physio? Back In Motion Health Group has launched Physio Online - a new service to provide Physiotherapy consultations over video chat.

Even before the impact of COVID-19, there has been a growing consumer demand for access to video-consultation services provided by physiotherapists. There is now evidence that shows video consultations are cost effective, safe and well-received by patients – especially by those living in rural and remote areas, or who have other forms of access issues due to age or disability.

“As surprising as it may sound, Physiotherapists can perform many of the manual assessments they conduct in practices by using video observation,” says Back In Motion Founder Jason T. Smith. “Physios can also take a full history, provisionally diagnose your injuries and health concerns, give comprehensive advice, supervise exercise therapy and educate you about self-treatment options.”

Unfortunately, not all private health insurers provide a rebate for physiotherapy services currently delivered via video consultation, but this is likely to change with growing pressure especially in response to COVID-19.

Back In Motion Health Group can offer you short, medium and long consultations to suit your situation, and given the impact the COVID-19 virus is having on people, Back In Motion are discounting their standard fees for Physio Online appointments to ensure their clients don’t fall behind in their treatment.

To access this service, you will simply need a computer or smart device with an internet connection and camera. Back In Motion will send you a text message with a secure ID login and access to a private video consultation with your preferred Physio.
